It shows my chart wrong. Why?
There could be many reasons why your chart is displayed differently than you know. However, you can generally check the following;
- Check the date, time, and place of birth information.
- Reset the settings if you have changed them. For example, if you have accidentally or for learning purposes chosen the Sidereal Zodiac in advanced settings, the zodiac positions will shift approximately one zodiac backward. You can reload the default settings by clicking the "Reset Settings" button in the settings panel.
- Check the time zone. Normally, the time zone is automatically calculated when you enter the person information. However, if you have accidentally changed the time zone without realizing it in the Details section of the person addition page, your chart can be calculated differently. You can automatically calculate it by clicking the "Calculate Time Zone" button. Astrology Master uses the most up-to-date and reliable time zone calculation. Note: Automatic calculation feature has been added when entering person information after 2021. If you added it before, you can recalculate it by clicking the "Calculate time zone" button in the Details section.
If you have checked all these, your chart is as calculated. If you are still not sure, you can send the full-screen screenshot of your chart to support@astrologymaster.app for us to check.
It shows my ascendant wrong
Your ascendant may be right on the border. For example, if your rising sign is at 29 degrees 50 minutes in Taurus, it may be shown as Taurus or Gemini with a small difference in different programs. You can see the degree of the rising sign more clearly in the chart section of the chart. Also, different programs can take different latitudes and longitudes for a city. This can cause a small shift. When adding a person, click on the map icon next to the section where you enter the place of birth. You can select the exact location by zooming in on the world map that opens. It will give the most accurate calculation.
- Check the date, time, and place of birth information.
- Make sure you are looking at the correct type of chart.
- Reset the settings if you have changed them.

What is the compatibility score? How do you calculate it?
You can only see the compatibility score from the Compatibility tab visible only in the Synastry chart. A score between 0-100 is given. Scores above 50 are considered compatible. This score is given according to how planets make angles to each other and how much deviation (orb) occurs in the angle. Under the area where the score is displayed, you can see how many points are given according to the positions of the planets to each other.
Why is my Sun always in the same house in the solar return chart?
If you are looking at a Natal-Solar Return comparative chart, the Sun's position here is its position on your birth chart. Solar Return charts occur at the moment when the transiting Sun conjuncts the natal Sun. Therefore, the house and zodiac sign positions will never change.
If you want to look at only the Solar Return chart without a birth chart, change the first chart type to "None" and the second chart type to "Solar Return" in the bottom panel.
Why are the positions of the planets slightly different in the progress chart some times?
Our progress calculation method is as follows;
In progress charts, each year that has passed since birth is considered as 1 day. This difference is added to the birth date and the positions of the planets on that date give us the progress positions. We calculate the progress chart based on global time, i.e., UTC+0. We think this is a more accurate calculation. First, we convert the current time to global time. Then we convert the birth date to global time and add the difference. We calculate the chart of the obtained date with the timezone as UTC+0. The reason is to avoid a possible calculation error in case the time zone changes a few days after the birth date. We have seen that some programs do not pay attention to this and therefore cause the progress degrees to be calculated with a small difference. Calculating according to global time is a more correct method.
Why does it take one degree more in interpreting Sabian symbols?
The signs start at 0 degrees. 0 degree is the first degree. In Sabian symbols, the first degree is considered as 1 degree, not 0. Therefore, 1 degree is added to the other degrees to look at the relevant symbol.
What is rectification?
It is the process of determining your birth time through astrological methods.
How do you calculate rectification?
First, you are asked to enter the range you think your time is. According to this, questions are asked based on the time range you provided. According to your answers, the rising, MC, challenging planetary transitions are considered and the time range is narrowed down. Finally, an important event is asked for and the interval is checked to catch the narrowest range. This process is done entirely based on your answers. Astrological transitions are compared according to your answers and the birth time range is reduced to a minimum.
Why does it calculate my birth time incorrectly in rectification? Why? This calculation is entirely based on the range you chose at the beginning and your answers. This calculation has no absolute guarantee. However, we tested that it often gives the correct result. Rectification calculation is made by considering the planetary transitions in your chart.
It says choose one of the following in rectification but only one option comes out, why?
The method we mainly use to find the birth time is the elimination method. We bring out options to determine which one is dominant among which planets or corner house positions are in the time range, and when you choose an option, other time ranges are eliminated. If there are no other options in the relevant time range, only 1 option may come up. If the option definitely does not suit you, you can check your previous answers or the time range you chose at the beginning. If you chose a very narrow time range at the beginning, a single option will often come out. If the options suit you, mark them and continue. If there is an option that does not suit you, go back to the previous answer and try a different range.
It says "No significant event was found on this date" in rectification. Why?
In the final stage of rectification, you are asked for a significant date. Whether there is a significant transition or another sign astrologically according to the narrowed time range in that date is examined. If there is no significant transition on that date, "No significant event was found on this date" warning appears. This situation is encountered especially when you enter the date incorrectly or a significant event does not match that date. Please try again by entering a correct date.
How do you calculate the element?
Element and Quality Calculation
This is shown only in the natal chart within the program. You can see the selected person's elemental balance and the zodiac distribution created accordingly (highest score synthesis and lowest score shadow zodiac). For the element calculation, the Ascendant (ASC), Midheaven (MC), Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are used. The ASC, Sun, and Moon are given 3 points, and the other factors are given 1 point. (This is because, according to astrology, the three most influential factors on personality are the Asc, Sun, and Moon.) Based on the elemental and quality characteristics of the zodiac sign where the planets are located, scores are written to the relevant element and quality column and displayed as a percentage. Underneath the Element and Quality graphs, the dominant zodiac distribution is shown according to the highest scoring element and qualities. For example, if the earth element and cardinal quality are high, Capricorn, which possesses the earth + cardinal attributes, is the zodiac you reflect the most. The percentage shows how much of a particular zodiac's attributes you carry.
The highest-scoring one is the synthesis, while the lowest scoring is the shadow zodiac. If there is a tie in the dominant zodiac ranking, the order considered is ASC > Sun > Moon. (Because, according to astrology, the outward to inward personality sequence is in this order.)
Why are only 7 planets, ASC, and MC used in the Element and Quality calculation?
Because according to astrology, these are the most important factors that influence and shape personality.
Why aren't asteroids and lunar nodes included in the element and quality calculation?
In element calculation, the most crucial factors that influence personality are considered. Asteroids are not related to personality in astrology. Similarly, lunar nodes more so indicate life's purpose and journey.
Why aren't Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto included in the element and quality calculation?
These are also referred to as generational planets. They move slowly, so they are almost in the same position in the charts of everyone born around the same time as you. Moreover, these planets are not personal planets but generational ones. They influence the behaviors of an entire generation. Since they don't add a personal distinction, they are not used in element calculation.
Why aren't fixed stars included in the element and quality calculation?
Because the position of fixed stars is constant, their zodiac position is the same in every chart. Since they don't add a personal distinction, they are not used in element calculation.
What is a Mirror Chart?
It's the reversed version of your chart. All planets and houses are in opposite positions. It represents your complete opposite.
How can I view the Draconic chart?
Enter the Birth chart in the application. In the bottom left corner, there's a chart type selection section. Change the 2nd chart type to Draconic. In this way, you can compare it with the birth chart. If you select the 1st chart type as None, you can view only the Draconic chart without comparison.
How can I see the aspects of the Ascendant and angular houses?
Settings panel->Points, scroll down on this page. You can activate angular houses like Ascendant, Descendant... etc.
I'm used to AM/PM. How do I input my birth time?
We understand that some users may be more familiar with the 12-hour AM/PM format. Here's a quick guide: If your birth time is in the AM, input the time as is. For instance, if you were born at 07:00 AM, select 07:00 in the application. If your birth time is in the PM, simply add 12 hours to the time. For example, if you were born at 01:00 PM, select 13:00 in the application.
What does the "R" symbol next to a planet mean?
The letter "R" stands for retrograde. This means that the planet appears to be moving backward. For instance, Mercury in retrograde. In reality, planets in the solar system do not move backward. However, in astrology, a geocentric (Earth-centered) system is generally used. Relative to Earth, some planets appear to be moving retrograde. The speed of a retrograde planet is shown as negative (-) in the table section.
What does the "S" symbol next to a planet mean?
The "S" symbol indicates that the planet's speed has significantly slowed down and it is stationary. You can see the speeds of planets more clearly in the table tab.
Why does it show "S" for planet X in my chart even though it's not stationary?
You might have seen in a different program that your planet isn't stationary ("S"). In reality, there isn't a moment when a planet comes to a complete stop. Different programs might classify a planet as stationary under different conditions. Here, we mainly consider the minute speed of the planet. If a planet's speed drops below 1 minute, we consider it stationary. This is because when a planet's speed drops below 1 minute, it means the planet will spend more time at that zodiacal degree, reflecting its energy more intensely.
How can I view a Horary Chart?
In astrology, there is no chart type called 'Horary.' Horary is a chart interpretation technique. For this, a current transit chart is used. Some astrologers may use different house systems for Horary interpretation. In the app, click on the chart at the top of the main screen. You will access the current transit chart showing the positions of the planets at this moment. You can set the house system in the settings panel.
